about

What is there to say about this album? We thought we were done.

So when we recorded "The Last Hurrah" on April 28, 2018, at Third City Sound, we were pretty sure it was the last time we were going to play as a band.

Well, guess what? We were wrong, mostly. While we ended up reforming as a band at the end of 2019, "The Last Hurrah" did end up being our last performance with Evan as part of our active line-up.

In many ways, this recording stands as an audio time capsule for that time period of Vaudevileins. It showcases a band that had become really tight touring behind our album Magician. It demonstrates the evolution of songs like "Devils" from how it was recorded to how we ultimately played it live. It captures our love of local music and the people we met along the way in towns we loved to play. And most importantly, it captures us having fun.

Because we have had so much fun playing in this band. And if you have been a part of it, this show is for you because you made it fun for us. So thank you to everyone who's ever been a part of Vaudevileins. So cheers to you, until the next Last Hurrah!

about

Vaudevileins Chicago, Illinois

Vaudevileins is Bill Aldridge (bass), Brennen Chouinard (drums/vox), Alex Jaskula (lead guitar), and Jeff Julian (vox/guitar).

Lights Out leans into the band’s signature energy, loud guitars, and memorable melodies and spotlights themes of transitions and endings, mining the fears of not being understood.

It’s a banger from beginning to end.
